Dubai-based Averda revolutionizes waste management via Integrated Skills, RouteSmart partnership
Waste management and recycling have never been more crucial. With increasing concerns over environmental issues and resource scarcity, waste management companies are challenged to provide sustainable and innovative solutions that benefit both the environment and society.
Averda, the leading waste management and recycling company in India, Africa, and the Middle East, understands this challenge all too well. With more than 60,000 clients across the private and public sectors, Averda seeks to provide sustainable waste management solutions that reduce the use of the planet’s limited natural resources and drive the circular economy.
To achieve this goal, Averda has partnered with RouteSmart reseller Integrated Skills Limited (ISL) for waste collection route optimization. They offer route planning and optimization software solutions, in-cab navigation and service verification software, addressing and geocoding solutions, contractor management systems, street works coordination software, as well as environmental and waste consultancy services.
ISL is a partner of RouteSmart Technologies Inc., a world leader in high-density route optimization solutions. This partnership has allowed Averda to use the RouteSmart for ArcGIS solution, which produces detailed and optimized routes for high-density service operations such as waste and recycling services. This waste management route optimization solution has proven invaluable for Averda.
“To assist the company in winning new contracts, we were looking for a GIS-based route optimization solution, so we naturally turned to Integrated Skills Limited, who provide RouteSmart in the Middle East,” said Ahmad Rifai, Group GIS & Business Analytics Manager for Averda. “RouteSmart has a proven track record and is an invaluable tool in our route optimization processes.”
With ArcGIS, Averda has been able to optimize its waste collection routes, reducing its carbon footprint and transportation costs while improving its operational efficiency. The waste collection route software considers various factors such as traffic, road conditions, and waste type, ensuring that waste is collected and disposed of safely and efficiently.
ISL also provides other solutions, such as a cloud-based garbage collection route optimization solution for dynamic routing, and in-vehicle navigation solutions for the management of contractors in the environmental service sector. These solutions have enabled Averda to streamline its operations, reduce costs, and provide better services to its clients.
In addition, ISL’s solutions have enabled Averda to improve its environmental and social impact. By reducing transportation and operational costs, Averda can reinvest in sustainable waste treatment capabilities, driving the circular economy and reducing the use of the planet’s limited natural resources. Averda’s commitment to protecting environmental and human health is reflected in its compliance with international standards for quality control wherever it operates.
Averda’s partnership with ISL has demonstrated how technology can revolutionize waste management and recycling. By combining their expertise in waste management and GIS-based software solutions, Averda and ISL have provided sustainable and innovative solutions that benefit the environment, society, and the economy.
